Samsung Galaxy S24 series gets AI powered thanks to Google

Samsung Galaxy S24 Launch: The new smartphones come with AI features, Android 14 out of the box, and support for fast charging.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 series has been unveiled in New York on Wednesday and as expected, you once again have three models in the flagship lineup. The Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra will be the company’s flagship phones this year and we’re looking forward to seeing how the new AI features work and drive the use of these phones in the coming months. Samsung has once again gone with the dual chipset strategy, using Exynos 2400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for different variants.

Samsung Galaxy S24 series price

The Samsung Galaxy S24 series starts at $799 (roughly Rs. 64,500) for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, going up to 512GB for the highest variant. The Galaxy S24 Plus comes at $999 (roughly Rs. 82,500) for the base 12GB + 256GB model. And finally, the Galaxy S24 Ultra this year has a starting price of $1,300 (roughly Rs. 1,05,000), which gets you the 12GB + 256GB model. Specifications of Samsung Galaxy S24 series

The Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus feature 6.2-inch FHD+ and QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED displays respectively with a 120Hz refresh rate. Both phones are powered by the Exynos 2400 chipset, coupled with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Samsung is offering Android 14-based One UI 6.1 version out of the box with both these phones. The company has also confirmed that starting with the Galaxy S24 series, buyers will get seven years of OS upgrades and security updates, like Google announced with the Pixel 8 series last year.

On the imaging front, the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus models sport a triple rear camera system that gives you a 50MP primary wide sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 10MP telephoto sensor. The front of the phone comes with a 12MP shooter for selfies and video calls. The other big change is in the battery department, where the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus pack a 4,000mAh and 4,900mAh battery, respectively, offering 25W and 45W wired charging speeds. Big Fish Talking about the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Samsung is clearly focusing on this model which gets the latest hardware and yes, AI features like Live Translation, Chat Assist, Android Auto with Samsung Keyboard, and Note Assist. This year it also gets a titanium frame which helps in better durability with an available IP68 rating.

The phone features a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate screen. It is powered by this year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with up to 12GB RAM and 1TB storage variants. The new S Pen comes with regular features and some AI-focused tools.

Talking about the camera, the Ultra model has a 200MP wide sensor with 50MP telephoto sensor which supports 5x optical zoom, OIS, 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, OIS and 12MP ultra-wide sensor. The larger phone gets a 5000mAh battery but you still get the same 45W wired charging support on this device.
