“70 stitches removed…”: On wife’s second cancer surgery, Navjot Singh Sidhu shares details; Good wishes pour in. cricket news

Former Indian cricket team star player Navjot Singh Sidhu on Saturday shared an important update about his wife’s cancer surgery. Last month she had her second surgery for breast cancer. “The operation for the rarest of the rare metastases – lasted three and a half hours… the affected skin was removed and reconstructed with flaps… her resolve is strong, the smile never leaves her face – Courage, your name Noni Hai… Dr. Rupinder is hopeful for a speedy recovery…” Sidhu had posted on X (formerly Twitter) in April.

On Saturday, Sidhu gave his fans a fresh update on the recovery of his wife Navjot Kaur.

“70 stitches have been removed and the wound is healing….there is a 2.5 inch area which requires daily dressing which continues under the able supervision of Dr. Manpreet Thind…the wound is healing Awaiting full recovery before starting necessary radiation therapy,” Navjot Singh Sidhu posted on X.

“He is expected to make a full recovery within 2 weeks to begin radiation treatment as planned.”

Sidhu, who is also busy as a commentator in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 campaign, posted a few pictures with his wife and the doctor treating him.

Sidhu posted on Thank you so much…forever indebted.” two pictures.

Earlier, Sidhu had revealed that his wife had undergone an operation for metastasis, a rare condition that required doctors to remove her affected skin and reconstruct it.

“The operation – for the rarest of the rare metastases – lasted three and a half hours. The affected skin was removed and reconstructed with flaps. His resolve is strong, the smile never leaves his face – Courage, your name is Noni. Dr. Hoping for a speedy recovery from Rupinder,” Sidhu had written.

While his wife’s health and recovery remains the priority, Sidhu is expected to entertain fans with his commentary in IPL 2024 as well.
