India captain Rohit Sharma is indeed a leader who is loved by his teammates. Videos of Rohit’s hilarious moments with Team India players on the field go viral on social media from time to time. After India defeated England in the Dharamsala Test match and won 4-1, Rohit was out with some of the younger players in the team. The India skipper also shared pictures from the outing on Instagram. In the photo, he can be seen Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jureir, Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal. It was Rohit’s caption for the photo that set the internet ablaze.
“Garden mein ghoomne wale bande”, Rohit wrote in the caption of the post, which elicited replies from former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh and current star Suryakumar Yadav.
While Yuvraj reacted with a laughing emoji, Suryakumar wrote: “Definitely Gill and Jaiswal”.
After the series, Rohit also revealed his future, saying that he will quit once he realizes that he can no longer contribute to the team.
“One day, when I wake up and feel that I am not good enough, I will retire immediately. But in the last few years, I have played the best cricket of my life,” Rohit told Jio after the match Cinema.
Hitman also praised the team’s victory over England, saying: “When you win a Test like this, everything has to fall into place. At some stage, people will (leave), people will come, we know that.”
“These (young) players may be inexperienced and they’ve played a lot of cricket and I can stand here and see these guys react really well under pressure. That’s credit to the whole team and it’s great to see.”
The veteran batsman will now focus on Mumbai Indians for the upcoming IPL 2024 season.
