Kate Middleton, Prince William react to King Charles’ return to public duties

Prince William and Kate Middleton are believed to be breathing a sigh of relief following the latest update on King Charles’s health.

Buckingham Palace confirmed on Friday that the 75-year-old monarch is set to return to public-facing duties after being treated and recovering from an undisclosed form of cancer.

talking to Ok! Magazine, former BBC royal correspondent Jenny Bond revealed that William and Kate should be very happy with the news, which will take some pressure off the couple.

For those unaware, the Princess of Wales has been out of the public eye since earlier this year following major abdominal surgery.

He later revealed his diagnosis of an undiagnosed form of cancer, which was discovered during post-op tests during his recovery.

As both the King and Kate stepped away from royal duties for their respective treatments, all eyes turned to William to maintain the sanctity of the monarchy.

So, according to Jenny, the latest announcement came at the perfect time for the future king. She said: “This news will be a huge relief to William as his father is not only back in health, but also working – which will ease some of the pressure on the prince to be out and about while he is in his own youth. There will be family and wife to take care of.”

“As far as Kate is concerned, the news from The King will be a huge relief. Not only because she has great affection for her father-in-law, but because it reduces the pressure on her and William.

The royal expert added, “Once the king is back in action, even if his diary is not complete, she may feel more relaxed about a longer absence from the public sphere,” and William will be more prepared to take time off when needed. I can feel less anxious. With his wife and family.”
