Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma looked angry with the camerapersons as he was repeatedly shown on the big screen during the DRS review on the first day of the fourth Test against England in Ranchi on Friday. The incident happened when Rohit asked for a DRS review after Ravindra Jadeja hit the ball on the pads of batsman Ben Fox, but the umpire declared it not out. While the review was going on, Rohit was visible on the giant screen, before the Indian captain made his irritation clear and asked the camera operator to show a replay. The video of the entire incident has gone viral on social media.

Meanwhile, Joe Root rescued England from early trouble by scoring unbeaten 106 after Indian fast bowler Akash Deep took three wickets on debut in the fourth Test on Friday.

England, who are struggling to make ends meet after trailing 2-1 in the five-match series, reached 302-7 at stumps after electing to bat first in Ranchi.

The tourists slipped to 112-5, but Root, who had scored just 77 runs in his previous six innings, regained his form by sharing a 113-run partnership with wicketkeeper-batsman Ben Foakes, who made 47.

Mohammed Siraj broke this partnership by taking the wicket of Fox, but former captain Root stood strong and at the end of the game, Ollie Robinson (31) played an unbeaten inning of 57 runs.

Root’s 31st Test century came after a round of criticism for giving away his wicket on a reverse scoop as England lost the third Test.
