India registered a spectacular win in the third Test on Sunday to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series against England. Sarfaraz scored 62 runs in the first innings and remained unbeaten on 68 runs in 72 balls in the second innings. His innings in the second innings included six fours and three sixes.

In the first innings, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was promoted to the upper order and was sent to bat at No. 5 and Sarfaraz was asked to wait. This bet went in favor of India and Jadeja walked out after scoring 112 runs.

However, in the second innings, the Mumbai batsman came in and batted ahead of Jadeja and really justified his promotion with his innings.
