The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday conducted raids at the residence and office of retired civil servant Harsh Mander in connection with a fresh case of alleged violation of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act.
The agency interviewed several people related to the case as part of its preliminary investigation, sources said.
Earlier in September 2021, the Enforcement Directorate conducted a raid at Mander’s residence in connection with an alleged money laundering case. According to the Education Department, raids were carried out at his residence, office and a children’s home he runs in the city.
In March this year, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) had recommended a CBI probe against the NGO of IAS-turned-social activist Aman Biradari Mander for alleged violation of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA).
