Reform Party leader Richard Theis has branded Rishi Sunak a “socialist” as he predicts a “realignment” of the right at the next general election.
Theis said Sunak was “not a real Conservative” and believed the Conservatives were made up of “social democrats” and “socialists” due to “high taxes” and government spending.
The reformist leader, who has vowed to stand in every seat in England, Scotland and Wales at the upcoming election, said Sunak’s policies made him an “anti-socialist” – a term he claimed He created it himself.

He added: “Frankly, I mean, Rishi Sunak is not really a conservative. He’s raised taxes, he’s raised spending, but growth has fallen.
“It’s a disaster and therefore a disaster for the UK. So there will be a restructuring and reform will be absolutely central to that.”
Asked whether Sunak was a “socialist”, Theis replied: “Yes, he is. He has raised taxes. He has increased government spending. He has caused economic growth to slow down. That is not conservative. ism. This is a form of socialism.”

Mr Tice dismissed the idea that his party was being perceived as “weirdos” by the public, saying: “There’s no evidence we are weirdos, Trevor.
“Our polls are rising. The Conservatives are sinking and that’s because we have a bold solution to save Britain.
“This country is completely broken and nothing Labor can do will get us growing again.”
A Tory source said: “A vote for reform is a vote for Keir Starmer. The Tories are cutting taxes, easing net-zero emissions roads for hard-working people and supporting drivers against Labour’s attempts to drive them out the way. “
