Ravindra Jadeja is known for his witty quips and his joke on MS Dhoni at a recent event went viral on social media. The image of Dhoni lifting Jadeja after the all-rounder scored the winning run in the IPL 2023 final against Gujarat Titans has become an icon for cricket fans . During the event, both Dhoni and Jadeja were asked to describe the moment and the all-rounder made a hilarious comment that divided the crowd. Jadeja said it was a special moment, before adding that he believed he was the only person after his wife Sakshi Dhoni to be rescued by the Dhoni.
“I believe after Sakshi bhabhi, I am the only one inspired by Mahi bhai,” Jadeja quipped.
Earlier, Chennai Super Kings batsman Samir Rizvi praised MS Dhoni for his small but fast and impactful knock in his first IPL match and said the talismanic former India captain He is advised to play his natural game against the Gujarat Giants.
Rizvi came up with a six-ball 14-run stand against GT on Tuesday night, including two sixes against Rashid Khan.

“When I got picked by CSK during the auction, my biggest happiness was to see Bhaiya (MS Dhoni)’s dream come true. We also had networking sessions together and learned a lot from him and the (supporting) staff. I intend to learn more and make the most of my talents.” Having played cricket for Uttar Pradesh, he has decent T20 figures, scoring 309 runs in 10 innings at a strike rate of 137.33, including two half-centuries.
Talking about his jersey number, the 20-year-old Meerut batsman said: “My jersey number is number 7, which is currently being worn by Bhaiya and I can’t get it. So, I liked number 1 and bought it. .” Rizvi also spoke about the positive atmosphere in the CSK dressing room.
“Everyone in the team loves and supports each other. The idea of scoring six goals in the first goal came from my heart, and the players cheered for me wholeheartedly,” he said.
“Whenever I have a doubt, I ask everyone in the team, be it batting or fielding, their mentality when batting. Learning these little things will benefit me in the long run,” he concluded .
CSK defeated GT by 63 runs on Tuesday and registered two wins in as many matches. They next face Delhi Capitals in Visakhapatnam on Sunday.
