Jon Bon Jovi reveals how Shania Twain supported him during major surgery

When Jon Bon Jovi found himself struggling with vocal cord problems, he turned to his “spirit sister” Shania Twain.

Bon Jovi said of Twain, “She’s been my spiritual sister in that respect.” He also said that he had had “the same doctor” and “the same surgery” a few years before.

He shared, “She’s the only woman I know of who has had this surgery with this doctor, and the only reason I found out was because they reported it in the press.”

“She says, ‘Well, I told you that because I knew otherwise you might back out.’ And so, I couldn’t wait to have the operation.”

After surgery, Bon Jovi worked with vocal coaches and does daily vocal exercises. Describing his experience, the rocker said that “every day is a recovery process.”

Bon Jovi is set to release its 16th album, foreveron June 7, which was recorded after his surgery.
