Earlier in an interview with Grazia, Rashmika revealed that her transition to Hindi films was “never a possibility” but she wanted to give back to the Hindi film audiences as she has received “huge Love”. “2020 was a tough year for all of us and I remember those two years when we had to sit at home and feel lost and hopeless. The transition to Hindi cinema was not always planned – I Becoming an actor was a surprise for myself (laughs) but it happened because I got huge love from the Hindi industry and I wanted to reciprocate it and do a Hindi film too. I feel It’s my responsibility to make good films and to be a part of a film that gives back to the people who love me has made me disciplined and hard-working.”

She is currently shooting for her most awaited film Pushpa 2: The Rule. The actress will reprise her iconic role of Srivalli in the film starring Allu Arjun in the lead. Pushpa: Rising, written and directed by Sukumar, was released in 2021 and became a blockbuster movie.
