Ranbir Kapoor Shares Mukesh Ambani’s Biggest Life Advice: ‘He Always Says Keep Yours…’ | Watch

Ranbir Kapoor talks about the life advice he got from business tycoon Mukesh Ambani. Ranbir was honored with the Maharashtra Personality of the Year Award on Thursday for his outstanding performance in films last year. While accepting the award, Ranbir called “Mukesh Bhai” his inspiration and revealed that the businessman had always told him to never let success in work go to his head and never let failure get you down. Mukesh Ambani, who was sitting in the audience, smiled at Ranbir while sharing the anecdote.

“I will keep it short. Mere zindagi ke teen simple lakshya hai, teen stamb hai (I have three goals, three pillars that I follow). Pehla ke acha kaam karo, badi vinamrata se kaam karo (Do a good job). Mukesh bhai (Mukesh Ambani) se maine bahut prerna li hai (I took inspiration from Mukesh bhai). He always told me to keep my head down and keep working. Don’t take success to heart, take failure to heart.” Ranbir at said in a touching speech.

“Dusra, acha insaan bano, ek acha beta, acha baap, acha pati, acha bhai, acha dost, aur sabse, sabse important, ek acha naagrik bano. Mujhe bahut garv hai ke main ek Mumbaikar hoon aur aise puraskaar mere liye bahut mahiyne rakhta hai toh bahut shukriya (Second, be a good person – a good son, a good father, a good husband, a good brother, a good friend, and most importantly, be a good citizen. I am proud to be a Mumbaikar, this Awards are very important to me so thank you for giving me this honour),” Ranbir added.
