Netanyahu vows to “be strong”" Rafael Opp, vetoes Cairo talks without war cabinet meeting, Israeli FBI chief

Prime Minister Netanyahu has reportedly ruled out sending an Israeli delegation to Cairo for further hostage negotiations without consulting the war cabinet. Netanyahu rejected a new framework for a truce and hostage release agreement proposed by the Mossad, Shin Bet and the Israel Defense Forces, Kan News reported. The prime ministers of Canada, Australia and New Zealand have called for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza. French President Macron also told Netanyahu by phone that the death toll in Gaza was “intolerable” and that Israel’s operations there “must stop.” The United States has called for diplomacy to resolve tensions on the Lebanese frontline following an Israeli attack on Lebanon’s northern neighbor. The FBI director made a surprise trip to Israel to meet with the country’s legal and intelligence agencies.
