Tamil superstar Dhanush recently announced his 50th film. Titled Raayan, the film is produced by Kalanithi Maran and bankrolled by Sun Pictures. The film is directed by Dhanush himself. The makers have given people a first look at the film with an interesting poster. The poster also revealed the superstar’s first look.

Dhanush shared the same on his Instagram account and wrote “RAAYAN” in the caption. In the poster, Dhanush is seen standing in an apron and looking nervous. Apart from Dhanush, the film also stars SJ Suryah, Dushara Vijayan, Kalidas Jayaram, Aparna Balamurali and Sundeep Kishan. The film’s music has been composed by AR Rahman.

“Raayan” is considered a revenge drama. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The film was completed in December last year and is currently in the post-production stage. Dhanush started shooting for the project in July last year. The film was announced with a new poster, which shows the actor with a shaved head.

Back in 2017, Dhanush made his directorial debut with the 2017 film Pa Paandi. The film also brought him his first Filmfare Award for Best Director – Tamil.

Dhanush is one of the leading actors of Tamil cinema. His most recent film, Captain Miller, received mixed reviews from fans. The film is produced by Sathya Jyothi Films and directed by Arun Matheswaran. Dhanush plays the lead in the first part of the trilogy, starring Shiva Rajkumar, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Aditi Aditi Balan, Sundeep Kishan, Edward Sonnenblick and John Kokken also have supporting roles.

Dhanush has also reportedly started shooting for his third directorial venture titled Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam. According to the Times of India, the film stars young actors, including Pavishm Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Warrier ) and Mathew Thomas. Dhanush also has the Bollywood film Tere Ishk Mein with director Anand L Rai in his kitty.
