King Charles’ nephew Peter Phillips has provided an update on the Queen and Kate’s health amid speculation about their cancer diagnosis and recovery.
Princess Anne’s son claims the king is “depressed” as he recovers from shock cancer after being diagnosed with cancer in February.
Talking about his uncle’s recovery in an interview sky news australiaPhilips said King Charles was “in good spirits” but recovery was taking “longer than he had hoped”.
“I think he ended up feeling very frustrated,” said Phillips, who was visiting Australia on behalf of the International Foundation for Arts and Culture.
“He was frustrated because he couldn’t continue to do everything he wanted to do.”
The son of the eldest princess continued: “But he was very pragmatic and he understood that there was a time when he really needed to focus on himself.”
He continued: “But at the same time, he always pushed his staff and everyone – his doctors and nurses – to be able to say ‘Can I actually do this? Can I do this?'”
Meanwhile, Philip also talked about the Princess of Wales, saying: “She is outstanding in her own right – there is no doubt that she and William make a great team.”
Princess Anne’s son Philips said: “For her and the King, the outpouring of support for both of them and well wishes for their speedy recovery has been very heartening.
The new news about King Charles’ reaction to the discovery of cancer comes amid reports that “Charles’ cancer is more serious than they thought” and claims he only has a few years left to live.
King Charles, on the other hand, is making public appearances and performing some of his important duties as king to quash conspiracy theories and speculation surrounding his death.
