Prince Harry upsets Queen Elizabeth’s former aide with his bold move

Queen Elizabeth’s former press secretary has revealed how Prince Harry has undergone significant changes since their last collaboration with him in 2013.

Elsa Anderson expressed surprise at the Duke of Sussex’s decision to step down as a senior royal in 2020, noting that he was once considered a “media darling” who could do no wrong.

Reflecting on her tenure working for the royal family in an interview with Times Radio, Ms Anderson commented, “That’s the Harry I knew – and I left and obviously that was before his marriage, So 2013 – but he was the darling of the media.

“I remember at the beginning he couldn’t put a step wrong, he was just a war hero, he had served, he was committed, he had the Invictus Games he really couldn’t put a step wrong. “

The Queen’s former aide said that in private, Harry was “charming, funny and interesting”, so she was “surprised” and “saddened” when he decided to step down from royal duties as she added: “You will be missed. That the three of them had worked together on things like Heads Together for Mental Health and it really felt like an amazing team.

“They were very united and supportive of each other. So when it suddenly doesn’t happen, it happens in any family, not just the royal family, it’s a loss isn’t it? It’s a grief.”

Since relocating to the US with Meghan Markle, Harry has been living in California with his wife and two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The Sussexes have launched various business ventures over the years, the most recent being Meghan’s lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

Ms Anderson’s comments came as Prince Harry gave an emotional speech to honor Sergeant First Class Elizabeth Marks, whom he described as a “friend” and an “epitome of inspiration”, with a special award.
