Prince William has hurt Prince Harry with his latest move

Prince William has continued to carry out royal duties while avoiding a meeting with Prince Harry, who has already arrived in the UK for a major celebration.

Today, the future King was seen attending an official event at Windsor Castle, where the Prince paid tribute to former England goalkeeper Peter Shilton and current Lionesses goalkeeper Mary Earps.

William, who serves as the President of the English Football Association, has a deep passion for football.

Last week, he was seen at Aston Villa’s football stadium, Villa Park, watching the Premier League side compete in the Europa Conference League semi-final first leg.

Prince Harry’s Invictus event in London today will take place without any senior members of the royal family in attendance, following the announcement that King Charles will not meet his son during his visit this week.

A spokesman for the prince said: “In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation as to whether the Duke will meet his father in the UK this week, unfortunately due to Her Majesty’s full schedule this will not be possible.

“Of course the Duke understands the diary of his father’s commitments and various other priorities and hopes to meet him soon.”

Harry last saw his father in February 2024 when it was announced that the monarch had cancer.

Harry did not meet Prince William during his visit to the UK earlier this year.

Relations between the brothers have deteriorated in the last few years.

Prince Harry will recite at St Paul’s Cathedral this afternoon as part of an event to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

The Duke of Sussex founded the sporting event in 2014 when he was still a working member of the royal family.
