Prince Harry has reportedly issued a seven-word plea to Meghan Markle as she undergoes a “dramatic U-turn” in her plans to return to the UK.
The Duchess of Sussex plans to accompany the Duke to London next month to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Invincible Games.
However, plans were thrown into disarray after details of their visit, including dates and schedule, were leaked to the media last month.
“It’s gotten to the point now that Meghan doesn’t want to come to the UK with her kids. She just doesn’t feel safe,” an insider told new magazine.
According to sources, this led to the palace making a plea to Meghan, telling her “I don’t want to do this alone.”
“Harry didn’t want to continue traveling to England alone,” they explained, referring to the Backup author’s visit to his cancer-stricken father, King Charles, in February.
The insider added: “He would have preferred the family to visit regularly and build bridges, but there’s so much going on behind the scenes that’s not possible at the moment.”
