Police are searching for a four-year-old girl and her mother who were last seen in February.

Bedfordshire Police said Joanna, 39, and her daughter Arianna went missing from their home in Luton and were last heard from around three weeks ago.

Police added that officers were “concerned for their welfare” and asked for the public’s support in locating them.

The mother and daughter are understood to have links to the Handsworth area of ​​Birmingham.

Bedfordshire Police posted on social media: “Joanna is described as black, of slim build, about 5ft 9ins tall. She has shoulder-length dark hair, often worn in a ponytail.

“Ariana is also described as dark, slim, with dark afro hair – often braided.

“We urge the community not to speculate about the circumstances of this disappearance appeal.”

Police are asking members of the public to report sightings of the mother and daughter “immediately” by calling 101 or visiting the Bedfordshire Police website.
