Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday claimed that India has taken another big step towards modernizing connectivity after inaugurating the Dwarka Expressway, adding that modern expressways It will not only change the development of vehicles, but also the lives of the people of Delhi NCR.

In a bid to improve traffic flow and ease congestion on NH-48 between Delhi and Gurgaon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated the landmark Haryana section of the Dwarka Expressway.

Addressing an event in Gurgaon on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that hundreds of thousands of people in every corner of the country are connected to the scheme through modern technological connectivity.

PM Modi said: “There was a time when projects were organized in Delhi and the entire country was connected. Times have changed and today projects are organized in Gurgaon and the entire country is connected, Hari Yanabon is showing that potential.”

The Prime Minister further congratulated the people of Delhi, National Capital Territory and Haryana for the construction of this modern expressway.

“Today, the country has taken another big step towards modernizing connectivity and I am delighted to have the opportunity to dedicate the Dwarka Expressway to the country today. More than Rs 9,000 crore has been spent on this expressway. Starting today, Transportation between Delhi and Haryana will be forever changed. This modern highway will not only transform vehicles but also the lives of the people of Delhi NCR. I congratulate the people of Delhi, NCR and Haryana for this A modern highway. He further asserted that just three months have passed in 2024 and projects worth Rs 1,000 crore have been laid and launched.

“It is less than three months to 2024 and in such a short period of time, projects worth Rs 100 crore have been laid and launched. These are just the projects that I have been involved in. Apart from this, there are several projects that the Chief Minister and Ministers also laid foundation stones and launched development projects,” he added.

The Prime Minister further said that people once avoided coming to the area where the Dwarka Expressway was constructed.

“Where the Dwarka Expressway is being built today, there was a time when people avoided coming here after dusk. Even taxi drivers refused that they should not come here. The entire area was considered unsafe. But today, many big companies All “come here and build their projects. This region is becoming one of the fastest growing regions in NCR,” he asserted.

Prime Minister Modi further said that the ongoing rapid infrastructure development work in the country will equally quickly make India the third largest economic power in the world.

Prime Minister Modi on Monday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 112 national highway projects across the country worth about Rs 100 crore.

The 19-km-long Haryana section of the 8-lane Dwarka Expressway, costing around Rs 4,100 crore, includes two 10.2-km-long Delhi-Haryana border to Basai Railway Bridge (ROB) and 8.7-km-long Delhi- Haryana border to Basai Railway Bridge (ROB). The distance from Basai ROB to Kherki Daula is 1 km. It will also have a direct connection to Delhi’s IGI Airport and Gurgaon Bypass.
