King Charles grows closer to Prince Louis amid cancer battle

Prince Louis managed to gain a special place in the heart of King Charles.

A few months after his cancer diagnosis, His Majesty King Charles III returned to public life and honored Prince Louis by wearing a T-Rex tie.

Returning on Tuesday, April 30, the monarch, 75, visited University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Center in London with Queen Camilla for her highly anticipated first public appearance since revealing her cancer diagnosis in early February.

During the visit, King Charles spoke to doctors and patients to raise awareness of the importance of early diagnosis. Although he follows the “never complain, never explain” family tradition, he subtly shared his shock over his diagnosis, leaving royal enthusiasts emotional.

But amid the excitement, fans examined King Charles’s outfit and pointed to his colorful tie that featured a T-Rex print. Russell Myers was on Lorraine this Wednesday, May 1, and he lifted the curtain on the loving symbolism behind the accessory.

“If you look closely at his tie, he’s wearing a T-Rex tie and some people are saying it’s a gift from Prince Louis, who famously loves dinosaurs,” the reporter said. He then added that the tie may be a subtle play on words, as the word “rex” is the Latin translation of “king”.

Prince Louis’ interest in dinosaurs was first revealed in 2020, when the six-year-old was spotted during a visit to the Natural History Museum with his maternal grandmother, Maria Borrallo.

But according to royal expert Robert Hardman, King Charles’s tie has another meaning and it announces his determination to return to his duties.

“His tie says it all,” Robert told The Daily Mail. It has been his favorite tie since he became king, wearing it on days out, at palace receptions and even on trips to church. But it is also visible.”

“Featuring a blue dinosaur pattern on a pink silk background, it’s a cheeky play on their official ‘Charles III Rex’ cypher. The staff knows when ‘C-Rex’ wears his ‘T-Rex’ tie, it’s likely He’s got a spring in his step.”

The news of King Charles’s cancer was given to the public in early February. Although the type of cancer he is suffering from has been kept a secret, it was reportedly discovered during surgery for a benign enlarged prostate at a London clinic.

The royal family reposted a new photo of fan-favorite royal Prince Louis just minutes after the Prince and Princess of Wales released it in response to huge demand from their fans and followers.

The palace captioned the photo: “Happy 6th Birthday Prince Louis!” The king’s office also added a cake emoji to celebrate the young prince’s special day as he turns six years old today (April 23, 2024).
