The Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 are expected to be unveiled soon, and the true wireless (TWS) earphones are said to be expected to succeed the Pixel Buds Pro, which was launched during the Google I/O event in May 2022. Although the company has yet to confirm the launch of the Pixel Buds Pro 2, previous reports suggested that they are likely to be unveiled alongside the Pixel 9 series of smartphones at the company’s I/O event or Pixel Hardware event in May. Details about these highly anticipated TWS headphone charging cases have now surfaced online.
According to 91Mobiles, the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 charging case was spotted on the UL Demko website with model number GH8TQ Report. The case is listed on the Danish certification website as being equipped with a 650mAh lithium-ion battery, which suggests it could offer slightly more capacity than the 620mAh battery in the original Pixel Buds Pro.
The publication also spotted the Pixel Buds Pro 2 with the same model number on the SatefyKorea certification website. The listing also shows that the contract manufacturing company for the TWS headphone charging case is Chinese company Chongqing Vidir Electronics.
Google Pixel Buds Pro launched in India priced at Rs. 19,990 and is available in Charcoal, Coral, Mist and Lemongrass colours. They feature active noise cancellation (ANC) support and a dedicated transparency mode. The headset also supports multipoint connectivity, allowing pairing with multiple devices at the same time.
The Google Pixel Buds Pro are said to have a total battery life of up to 31 hours without ANC and up to 20 hours with ANC turned on. The charging box also supports USB Type-C wired and Qi wireless charging. The case has an IPX2 splash-proof rating, while the individual earbuds have IPX4 certification.
