Live updates from the Parliamentary Budget meeting: A storm is expected in the Lok Sabha on Saturday, the last day of the ongoing budget session of Parliament, where the two houses are expected to pass a resolution thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for overseeing the construction of the Ram temple, which houses the shrine. The temple was inaugurated in Ayodhya in January. 22. Apart from this resolution, the Lok Sabha is also likely to discuss the white paper on Indian economy before and after the BJP came to power. The BJP has issued a three-stroke whip to all members of the Lok Sabha and the Lok Sabha, asking them to appear in Parliament today to take up some “very important” legislative matters, which will be tabled for discussion and passage.

The budget session of Parliament has been extended by one day to Saturday (February 10) to deal with “important government business”. The meeting started on January 31st and was scheduled to end on February 9th.
