Srinagar, May 03: As the investigation of the Pahalgam attack gains fast speed, Nia grild two terrorists, Muahtak and Nisar, imprisoned in Jammu since April 2023.
In Rajouri district, terrorists have been in jail since April 2023 on their role in a terrorist attack on citizens, followed by an IED explosion. Seven people, including two children, were killed and several others were injured in the attacks.
Nia formally captured the investigation into the Pahgam terror attack, registering a case in Jammu on 27 April. Several teams of the agency began questioning evidence and eyewitnesses, including relatives of the victims, to highlight the terrorist conspiracy. NIA teams have registered accounts from family members of victims in Maharashtra, Odisha and West Bengal in other states.
Preliminary investigation into the attack indicated that the number of terrorists involved in it could range from five to seven. The attackers were assisted by at least two local terrorists, who received training in Pakistan.
