OnePlus Watch 2 with 12 days of battery life launched at MCW 2024

OnePlus Watch 2 was unveiled at the 2024 Mobile World Congress (MWC) on February 26. This smartwatch succeeds the OnePlus Watch 2021 model and comes with a number of upgrades. It is said to have a battery life of up to 100 hours in smart mode and up to 12 days in power saving mode, but with fitness tracking capabilities. The watch uses a dual-engine architecture, runs two operating systems, and also comes with dual-frequency GPS connectivity. The smart wearable device has a stainless steel body paired with a sapphire crystal screen.

OnePlus Watch 2 is available in Black Steel and Radiant Steel color options, with prices starting at Rs. 24,999. The product is being launched in select countries and will be available from March 4 onwards through Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, OnePlus online store, Reliance Digital, Croma and other offline stores.

OnePlus Watch 2 features a 1.43-inch circular AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels, a 60Hz flash frequency, a peak brightness of 1,000, and a 2.5D sapphire crystal screen. The watch is powered by the Snapdragon W5 SoC, which helps run Wear OS apps, and the BES2700 chipset, which runs the RTOS that takes care of background activities.

OnePlus Watch 2 users can also switch between two operating systems – Wear OS 4 and RTOS. It comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage. In addition to military-grade MIL-STD-810H construction, the wearable’s stainless steel chassis is 5ATM and IP68 rated.

The company has equipped the OnePlus Watch 2 with a large 500mAh battery that supports 7.5W VOOC fast charging, which it claims can charge the watch from 0 to 100 in 60 minutes. The watch is said to offer up to 48 hours of battery life with heavy use, up to 100 hours in smart mode, and up to 12 days in power save mode. .

The smartwatch also features an optical heart rate monitor, pulse oximeter sensor, and helps track the user’s sleep cycle and stress levels. Supports more than 11 professional modes and more than 100 sports modes. OnePlus Watch 2 features L1+L5 GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and USB Type-C connectivity. The watch weighs 49 grams and measures 47mm x 46.6mm x 12.1mm.
