'Oldest dog ever' Bobby loses title after investigation

Bobby’s owners have been told their pet no longer holds the title of “oldest dog ever”.

Bobi, the Portuguese mastiff named the world’s oldest dog by Guinness World Records (GWR), has been stripped of the title people magazine. The dog received the title in February last year, but it was awarded posthumously after a GWR investigation into evidence of Bobby’s age. “We take great pride in ensuring that all records are as accurate and complete as possible. Based on concerns raised by veterinarians and other experts in private and public comments, as well as findings conducted by a number of media organizations, we considered a review of Bobby’s records It’s important,” Mr. McKinley said.
