Nuh Violence Charges Bittu Bajrangi Arrested For Beating Man On Video, Out On Bail

Faridabad police on Sunday night arrested cow vigilante Rajkumar Panchal, also known as Bittu Bajrangi, who was the latest to oust Harry, officials said. The accused in the Yanabonnuh violence, he allegedly beat a man with a stick in Nangla Enclave and a video of the act went viral on social media.

A police officer was seen in the video watching Bittu Bajrangi beating the man, prompting the department to take action and fire the police officer. Police personnel were deployed to protect the security of Bittu Bajrangi.

Bittu Bajrangi was released on bail on Monday after joining the investigation. The police asked him to sign an affidavit promising that similar incidents would not happen again in the future.

Inspector Sangram Dahiya of Saran police station said the police will keep a close watch on Bittu Bajrangi in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. The official added that he may be arrested if he is found involved in any untoward incident.

“Senior officials have been advised to take departmental action and sack the gunmen deployed for the security of Bittu Bajrangi. The cyber police team is continuously monitoring the social media accounts of Bittu Bajrangi,” Dahiya said.

Faridabad police registered a case against Bittu Bajrangi last Wednesday after a video went viral in which he was seen beating a man with a stick in the middle of the street. The FIR was lodged at Saran police station against Bittu Bajrangi and his associates under sections 323 (causing hurt), 341 (wrongful imprisonment), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code .
