After suffering three defeats, Mumbai Indians (MI)’s IPL 2024 season is finally back on track after defeating Delhi Capitals in their last match. MI went through a leadership change this season with Hardik Pandya leading the side, replacing long-serving icon Rohit Sharma. However, three games later, the results were not in their favor and MI’s campaign got a much-needed boost with a 29-run victory over the struggling Delhi Capitals last week.

Ahead of Thursday’s match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), explosive batsman Tim David opened up about the mood in the dressing room after losing the first three games.

David admitted that the win over Washington was a relief because another loss in the game would have wiped out their playoff hopes.

“We have a team that can make it to the finals and ultimately qualify. After three losses, it’s frustrating because everyone feels like they’re doing their best. We sat down as a team and told ourselves it’s time “We didn’t have any more chances here to continue to be below our best, so it’s great that we were able to put in a performance like this and get the win. Starting from here is crucial,” David is quoted as saying by MI’s website.

Just like MI, RCB also had a lot of problems, losing four of their first five games.

However, David, a former RCB player, said they are more focused on maintaining their winning streak than their opponents.

“To be honest, our biggest focus is on ourselves. We didn’t play our best cricket the first three games and as we gain momentum this team can get a real win. We’re excited for that to happen and be a part of it part of it would be great,” he added.

David also shared his thoughts on fellow countryman and former MI teammate Cameron Green, who was traded to MI before the season.

David, who goes to the same school as the boys, suggested he would like to beat Green in one of the many entertaining games on Thursday.

“Cam and I are at the same school, so it’s obviously bragging rights. You’re playing against your teammates, but they’re rivals. Yeah, we played together a year ago. But people change their game and learn There are different skills, so you can’t count on that knowledge. It’s all about playing the game from the middle,” he concluded.
