Navi Mumbai builder murdered: Wife, driver arrested; Police claim, two people were in a relationship

Navi Mumbai Police on Monday said it has arrested the wife and driver of a builder who was murdered in his office in Seawoods on January 14. Manoj Kumar Ramnarayan Singh (39) was allegedly murdered by his wife Poonam Singh (34) and their driver. Raju alias Shamshul Abuhurera Khan (22) who was in a relationship, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone I) Vivek Pansare said at a press conference.

The duo were caught based on technical analysis and intelligence, he said, adding that the accused had damaged CCTV equipment in the office to destroy evidence of the crime. Both were arrested within 24 hours of the murder on January 14. Both of them feared loss of earnings as the deceased was embroiled in various legal matters. He was killed by hitting his head and face with iron rods,” the officer said.
