Mumbai Indians on Thursday announced the signing of Saurashtra wicketkeeper-batsman Harvik Desai as a replacement for Vishnu Vinod who is out of the ongoing IPL due to a forearm injury (Vishnu Vinod). This will be the 24-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman’s first appearance in the IPL. Desai played 27 T20 matches, 40 A-level matches and 46 A-level matches for Saurashtra. “Mumbai Indians have announced that Harvik Desai will join the team as a replacement for Vishnu Vinod,” an IPL media release said.

The 30-year-old Vinod, who was playing for Kerala in the domestic tour, suffered an injury to his left forearm.
Mumbai Indians are currently eighth in the points table.
