Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman is likely to miss Chennai Super Kings (CSK)’s next IPL 2024 match against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Friday. According to ESPNcricinfo, Mustafizul has returned to Bangladesh to resolve his visa issues for the 2024 T20 World Cup, which will be hosted by West Indies and the United States. The T20 World Cup will kick off a few days after the IPL 2024 final on May 26. Mustafizul is in good form for CSK this season, taking 7 wickets in three games. He is the leading wicket-taker in the tournament.

The report also adds that spinner Maheesh Theekshana is likely to replace Mustafizur in the starting XI.

In CSK’s last match against Delhi Capitals, Mustafizul completed 300 wickets in T20 cricket, becoming the second Bangladeshi bowler to reach this milestone.
