Pro-Palestine protests have been sweeping across university campuses in the United States, with students demanding that their institutions cut ties with corporations supporting Israel’s military actions in Gaza.
The movement, which has been fueled by the Israel-Hamas conflict, has seen students setting up encampments and vowing to remain until their demands are met.
At Columbia University, the encampment established by pro-Palestinian students has grown to hundreds of protesters, with over 100 arrests reported last week.
Similar protests have been observed at California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt, Emerson College, Harvard University, New York University, University of California, Berkeley, University of Michigan, and University of Minnesota.
