Bharatnatyam 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday announced the names of former prime ministers PV Narasimha Rao, Chaudhary Charan Singh and agricultural scientist MS Sri Dr. MS Swaminathan was posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna, the country’s highest civilian award.

Last week, BJP veteran and former deputy prime minister Lal Krishna Advani accepted the Bharat Ratna honor with “humility and gratitude” , and stated that his motto is “This life is not mine. My life is for my country” – this is the source of inspiration for his life.

He was very fond of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bihari Vajpayee expressed his gratitude to the two men “who had the privilege of working closely with them.”

Earlier in January, President Drupadi Murmu announced that former Bihar Chief Minister Kapri would be posthumously conferred the title of Bharat Ratna.

The Bharat Ratna was established in 1954 to reward those who have rendered outstanding public service and highest performance in the fields of literature, science and art.
