Maldives MPs seen fighting on the floor of Parliament

Men in suits and ties sigh at each other like crazy. They punch, kick, push and shove. All this happened on the floor of the Maldives Parliament, where a crucial vote on parliamentary approval for the Mohammed Muizzu government was to be held today.

In a video, which is now being widely circulated on the internet, an MP is seen holding the leg of his fellow MP and both of them falling together.

One of them then comes back and puts his knee on the other and is seen pulling her hair, as shown in another clip. The footage also shows other members trying to push the MP.

The two men seen in the fight are Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) MP Isa and ruling PNC MP Abdulla Shaheem Abdul Hakeem.

In another video, the MP is seen blowing the horn into the ears of the Speaker, who tries to block the noise by placing his hands on his ears.

Reports said that several members of the ruling party created a blockade in the House and disrupted the session.
