Minor gives birth to a child in the toilet of MP hospital, caught by staff while trying to escape

A minor girl in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind district on Thursday allegedly gave birth to a baby in the toilet of the women’s ward of a hospital. She was trying to run away leaving the newborn in the bucket when an employee caught hold of the girl and informed the authorities.

Hospital officials gave information The Times of India That the minor was admitted to the district hospital after complaining of stomach pain at around 8 pm on Thursday night.

At 9:00 pm the minor gave birth to a baby girl in the toilet of the women’s ward. After giving birth, the girl went back to her bed and was trying to escape with her parents when a hospital employee heard the baby crying from the toilet.

The staff were shocked to see blood on the floor and the girl inside the bucket. The authorities have now reunited the girl with the minor and informed the police about the incident. Police have also started investigating the matter.

The report said that a case has been registered to ascertain the details of the incident and then take necessary action.

In another unrelated incident in Tamil Nadu, an infant was found near a government school toilet in Chidambaram town in Cuddalore district.

Four days after the incident, police learned that the child was delivered by a girl studying in class 11 of the school. Bhubaneswar police were alerted by the school authorities about the body of the newborn. During the investigation, a 16-year-old girl confessed that she felt labor pains while attending her class.

She reportedly went to the toilet and gave birth to the child. This matter had surprised everyone. Meanwhile, the police launched an investigation to nab the culprit who got the minor girl pregnant.

After giving birth to a child, a 16-year-old girl allegedly cut the umbilical cord herself with a pen. Police suspect that the newborn died due to lack of help during delivery. According to her initial statement, it is reported that the minor returned to class after giving birth to the child.
