Two masked men armed with guns robbed Rs 10.75 lakh from a bank in Badgaon village in Paran district on Wednesday, police said.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Baran Rajesh Choudhary said that at around 12 noon, two masked men riding a bicycle and carrying guns broke into the Badgaun village branch of UCO Bank , robbed 1.075 million rupees.

They fired a shot into the air to intimidate bank staff, police said, adding that a spent cartridge was found at the scene.

After receiving the news, the police immediately rushed to the scene and launched an investigation. A team has been formed to arrest the accused and CCTV footage is being examined, ASP said.
