Man kills ‘lover’ after argument in Bondi, Rajasthan

A 24-year-old man allegedly killed a woman who claimed to be his “lover” during a scuffle at a farmhouse in Rajasthan’s Bundi district on Tuesday, police said. They said the alleged incident took place in the Talela area.

Harish Sharma, sub-inspector of Talela police station, said that around 5 pm, the accused called the police control room and claimed that he had killed his “lover” and that her body was in Pakistan. In a farmhouse in Lopu Village. He added that police later found the woman lying on a bed in a room at the farmhouse.

The accused was also found bleeding from a self-inflicted laceration to his veins, police said. He was taken to a local hospital and doctors referred him to MBS Hospital in Kota, they added.

Sharma said the man was undergoing treatment and two guards had been deployed to guard him. The victim’s body has been sent to the morgue for an autopsy, which will be conducted on Wednesday.

The police said there were no signs of injury on the woman’s body and it was suspected that she died of suffocation during the scuffle.

Sharma said the real cause of death would be clear after the autopsy. He added that the background and marital status of the defendant and the victim have not yet been determined.

Police said the owner of the farmhouse where the incident occurred has not yet been contacted.
