Man bit shopkeeper's finger after spending 50 rupees and wanted to change clothes

The two got into an argument and the customer refused to pay Rs 50.

Banda, U.P.:

In a shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Banda district, a man bit off a shopkeeper’s finger over a dispute over Rs 50.

When the incident took place, Shiv Chandra Karwaria, the owner of a clothing store selling clothes, said a customer came to his store to buy a dress. He bought a dress and left.

The next day, the man returned to the store and told Cavaria that the dress he purchased was small and said he wanted a larger size. The shopkeeper told him that if he wanted to buy a bigger dress, he would have to pay another 50 rupees.

The two got into an argument and the customer refused to pay Rs 50.

Things took an ugly turn when the man suddenly bit off the fingers of Cavaria’s left hand. He also bit his son.

The accused then threw the shopkeeper’s clothes on the road and fled.

An injured Cavaria reached a nearby police station and lodged a complaint.

Kotwali Naraini station officer (SHO) Suresh Saini said a case has been registered based on the complaint of the shop owner.

The SHO said the police are on the lookout for the accused and legal action will be taken once they are arrested.
