“First of all, I didn’t even take acting classes. I didn’t want to be the one who let this movie down,” he reasons.

“And then, number two, I really didn’t have the time to devote to it. I remember having to tell Joe and Tom – it broke my heart,” Hamilton recalled.

He lamented: “When they showed me the movie, I naturally regretted it: It could have been me!”

Still, even if it’s not in the 2022 hit movie, Hamilton still got the chance to work with Kosinski on an upcoming, untitled Formula 1 movie.
