Laura Dern was asked about the same topic in the latest episode TheWrap Unwrapped podcast, and since she’s worked with her before Bejeweled In the music video, she feels the need to respond.
“She’s the real deal,” Dunn, 57, said of Swift, 34, who oversees the 2022 project.
“Beyond that, everything she does is amazing, and she’s a true filmmaker, and I know that firsthand,” Dunn continued. “I’m excited to see this part of her journey, wherever she continues to go through this.”
Dern plays Swift’s evil stepmother in the music video, which pays homage to the classic Cinderella story. Swift’s Stepsisters were performed by Haim, the band who supported her on the Eras tour.
Dern mentioned that she would be willing to work with Swift on an unrelated project.
“Listen, wherever she wants to go, I’ll be there. I love her,” Jurassic World: Dominion star told Expand.
Dern repeated similar comments following the release of the popular music video, when she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live In January 2023, he said working with Swift had been an “incredible time.”
“I was amazed at what a great filmmaker she was, how well prepared she was, how improvisational and fun it was. I had the best time of my life. So, it was awesome,” Dunn said.
