Motorola teases new product launch in India on April 3: This is its future

Motorola may soon launch a new phone in India. The company has planned a launch event in the country but has yet to reveal any further details. Presumably, we might see the reveal of the so-called Motorola Edge 50 Pro. However, this model has not yet been officially announced. Notably, the company recently launched two new smartphones in the US – Moto G Power 5G (2024) and Moto G 5G (2024). The launch of these models in India is yet to be confirmed.

In a press release titled “Save the Date”, Motorola India has announced an event on April 3 where we will “witness the convergence of art and intelligence”. The event is scheduled to be held in New Delhi. The note doesn’t reveal any further details, but is expected to be the launch of a new phone. The company noted that “more details and formal invitations” will be released soon.

The upcoming phone is speculated to be the Motorola Edge 50 Pro. The company’s trailer emphasizes “art” and “wisdom” in bold letters. It can be assumed that the anticipated device will include many features powered by artificial intelligence (AI). Motorola recently called its upcoming Moto X50 Ultra in China an “AI phone.” The model is expected to be launched outside China under the name Motorola Edge 50 Pro.

Details about the Motorola Edge 50 Pro were leaked recently, including its design and color options. The phone is expected to be available in black, purple, and white color options, with the white version sporting a stone-like pattern. These variants come with a triple rear camera unit and faux leather finish. Notably, in the leaked render, the phone shows the date April 3 on its lock screen. It is therefore speculated that this model may be launched on the same day.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is expected to be launched in the United States as the Motorola Edge+ (2024). It is said to feature a curved 6.7-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate and a 50MP triple rear camera unit, which may also include a 13mm wide-angle camera and a 73mm telephoto camera with up to 6x zoom. The phone is likely to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and 12GB RAM. It is expected to be equipped with a 4,500mAh battery and support 125W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
