Labor MP Emily Thornberry laughs as she admits ‘I do drugs’ in live interview

Labour’s shadow attorney-general Emily Thornberry laughed and admitted “I do drugs” during a live interview today (March 22).

Ms Thornberry appeared on LBC’s breakfast show on Friday and host Nick Ferrari asked her: “Emily Thornberry, did you do drugs at university?”

The MP replied: “Yes, I did drugs.”

“Does it matter?” the host asked, referring to the public’s “obsession” with politicians’ past drug use.

The Labor MP replied: “It really depends on the public, I mean that was a long time ago.”

Mr Ferrari then asked Ms Thornberry: “When was the last time you lit up a cigarette?”
