Kevin Costner recently praised his son Hayes’ performance in the epic Western movie, Horizon: An American Legend.

in new interview entertainment tonightKevin discusses his son’s debut in the $100 million movie, which will be released on June 28.

“I watched him grow up and I thought, ‘Man, I better suck it up and make this movie,’” yellowstone park actor.

“He did a great job in the small part he did and made a real impact on the film,” Kevin said.

2022, with people magazine, Kevin explained why he cast Hayes in the film.

“He’s very nice, but I kind of did it on purpose so he could hang out with me,” admits the actor-producer.

Kevin added, “It’s the same thing with Kayden, it’s the same thing with Grace. I’m like any other parent, I’m trying to figure out, ‘This is really great. You should be with me.’”

It’s worth noting that Kevin’s new project is filming in Utah, where he plans to build Territory Film Studios.

For those unfamiliar, Kevin made his directorial debut in 1990 dances with wolvesin which he played the lead role of Lieutenant John Dunbar.

The film reportedly earned Kevin the Oscars for Best Picture and Best Director, as well as seven other nominations for a total of twelve nominations.
