Actress Katrina Kaif has reportedly been appointed as the brand ambassador of IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings ahead of the 2024 season. Owing to Katrina’s immense popularity, her inclusion is expected to further strengthen CSK’s already huge fan base. CSK aims to increase its brand awareness with support from Katrina. Notably, Katrina also serves as a brand ambassador for Etihad Airways, contributing to their marketing campaigns targeting the Indian audience. Etihad Airways has now become one of CSK’s official sponsors, extending Katrina’s association with the cricket franchise. Prior to joining CSK, Katrina served as the brand ambassador for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

According to reports, the first match of IPL 2024 is scheduled to be played on March 23, 2024 at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai between the Gujarat Titans and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

In addition to her ambassadorial roles, Katrina continues to impress with her acting skills in various successful films. Katrina essayed the role of Maria in the recent film Merry Christmas, directed by Sriram Raghavan, which received positive feedback from critics. The film also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Tinnu Anand and Vinay Pathak, and both Katrina and Vijay’s performances were well received. Looking back on her experience working with Vijay, Katrina described it as “unique, unusual and very freeing” and highlighted his authenticity and comfort in front of the camera.

Apart from “Merry Christmas”, Katrina will also star in the upcoming film “Chandu Champion” directed by Kabir Khan. The film is currently in post-production and is expected to be released on June 14. Chandu Champion delves into the life of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medalist, who achieved the feat at the 1972 Summer Paralympic Games in Heidelberg, Germany. Petka also set a world record in the 50-meter freestyle event with a time of 37.33 seconds. The film stars Kartik Aaryan in the lead role along with Shraddha Kapoor, Manoj Anand and others.
