Jammu and Kashmir detains 3 policemen under Public Safety Act:

Police (representatives) said many cases were filed against the three accused

Three men in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district have been booked under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) for their alleged involvement in anti-national activities, police said on Monday.

According to the police spokesperson, Mysir Majeed Malik of Seriwarpora Pattan, Abdul Ahad Dar of Dar Mohalla Palhallan and Khursheed Ahmad Waza of Tantraypora Palhallan were booked after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authorities.

They were detained and later lodged in district jails in Kupwara and Anantnag, the spokesman said.

He said many cases were filed against the three defendants for allegedly disrupting law and order and subverting state power.

The spokesman said that although they participated in many FIRs, they had not corrected their anti-national and anti-social activities.
