It is reported that iPad Pro and iPad Air will be released in early May

Apple’s 2024 iPad Air and iPad Pro models have been subject to multiple leaks and rumors, but it’s unclear what their release status will be. Luckily, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has now given us a more specific release window. They are said to arrive in early May. Apple may also launch updated Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil along with the new tablet. The new iPad Pro is expected to be equipped with an M3 chip. It offers MagSafe wireless charging and an OLED screen. New iPad Mini and base iPad models are also said to be in the works. They could launch as early as late 2024.

In his latest report, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman Open The newsletter says the updated iPad Pro and iPad Air will launch in the first week of May, about a month ahead of the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which is scheduled to kick off on June 10. More specifically, Gurman cited sources as saying the launch will “probably” take place on May 6.

Gurman added that the spring launch will also introduce updated Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil. He claimed that Apple retail stores are preparing to receive new product marketing materials later this week. The upcoming iPad models are said to be equipped with OLED screens and may be priced higher.

In addition, Gurman said that Apple is developing new versions of the low-end iPad and iPad mini. These base variants may not be available until the end of this year “at the earliest.” Starting in 2022, the new smaller iPad will likely be a cheaper version of the 10th-generation model. The iPad mini update might just be a processor upgrade.

Rumors about updates to the iPad Air and iPad Pro have been circulating for months. The new iPad Pro is expected to be equipped with an M3 chip and MagSafe wireless charging. The iPad Air, on the other hand, runs on the M2 chip.
