New Delhi:
The Reserve Bank of India has shut down Paytm payments bank and banned it from accepting new customers. After tomorrow March 15, no deposits, credit transactions or recharges will be accepted from new customer accounts, prepaid cards, Paytm wallets, etc., including FASTag.
Paytm Bank is one of the largest issuers of FASTag. Paytm FASTag users are urged to deactivate their accounts by tomorrow and get a new account from another NHAI authorized issuer.
National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) Suggested “Paytm FASTag users should purchase a new FASTag issued by another bank before March 15, 2024. This will help avoid penalties or any double charges while commuting on national highways.”
