Pathirana dismissed Ishan Kishan (23), Suryakumar Yadav (0), Tilak Varma (31) and Romario Shepherd (1) to register 4 for 28. MI were restricted to 186 for 6 in reply to CSK’s 206 for 4.

The result of this game only changed the table, with MI slipping to 8th place and Punjab Kings moving up to 7th place.

Earlier in the day, Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Lucknow Supergiants by 8 wickets. Despite Sunday’s win, CSK remain in third place. Meanwhile, KKR are ranked second with the same score as CSK but with a higher net run rate.
