Marcus Stoinis stole the show with his power-hitting as Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) chased a target of 211 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 game on Tuesday. It was Stoinis’ 124 off 63 balls that overshadowed Ruturaj Gaikwad’s 108 off 60 balls in the match, but the Australian all-rounder was not the only LSG hero in Chepauk. A video surfaced from the match in which an LSG fan can be seen celebrating his team’s success while he is surrounded by hundreds of CSK fans dressed in yellow. It is the fans who make this game, and when it comes to CSK, there is hardly any stadium in the country where they do not get support. When it comes to IPL matches in Chepauk, fans of other teams rarely think about how tough it is for the Chennai franchise to face defeat at home.

As for the match, Stoinis played memorable innings as he single-handedly guided LSG to a six-wicket win over CSK at the Chepauk Stadium on Tuesday and continued his dominance over the Yellow Army in IPL 2024, winning both the matches. Their home and away games against the five-time champions.
Speaking on the win, KL said during the post-match presentation that the win was really special because of the circumstances.
“Very special, especially when it’s a game like that. We were way behind in the game when we were batting so to get it was very special. It was a fresh start, both teams started on zero.
