Recently, there have been rumors that Apple’s A18 Pro chipset is expected to provide power for the iPhone 16 Pro model released in September this year, and it is expected that single -core performance will be greatly improved. This suggests that it may be more powerful than the current flagship chipset, the A17 Pro, as well as the M3 chipset in single-core tests.

Apple’s six-core A18 Pro chipset reportedly scored a whopping 3,500 points in the single-core test and 8,200 points in the multi-core test on Geekbench 6, according to X user @neagtiveomehero. When comparing these numbers to the A17 Pro, you can see a clear improvement in both single-core and multi-core results. The current single-core score of the chip group is about 2,800-2,900 points, and the multi-core score is about 7,200 points.

This roughly means that the single-core score has improved by about 20%. Compared with the Apple M3 chip that provides power for its latest Mac, the A18 Pro scores higher in the single -core category, about 3,170 points.

Comparing the A18 Pro’s scores with those of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, the next-generation chipset that will reportedly replace the recently announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Apple’s flagship chip falls short of Qualcomm’s in multi-core Flagship score. test. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is said to have scored 2,845 in the single-core test and 10,628 in the multi-core test.

That said, these are just rumors for now and should be taken with a grain of salt until we get more concrete news from Apple.
